A game master for the whole table.
DragonSpire narrates, voices characters, rules on actions, runs monsters, tracks combat, and hands out loot and experience. The human GM keeps the final say.
Who it is for
-
Game masters
A co-GM that handles rules, bookkeeping, monster turns and narration drafts, with every consequential step behind an approval card. Or a stand-in GM when you want to play (Autonomous mode, in development).
-
Players
A game master on voice, on the web and inside Fantasy Grounds, who never rolls for or decides for your character.
-
Groups without a GM
In developmentAutonomous mode, where DragonSpire runs the table. In development; not yet proven live.
Where you play
-
Fantasy Grounds Unity
It reads the live combat tracker, sheets and maps, and acts with the ruleset's own functions. Every Fantasy Grounds command passes a validator before it runs, and returns a receipt after.
-
Discord voice
A narrator voice, distinct NPC voices, and the manners to wait for a pause.
-
The web
Chat with the GM, roll 3D dice, see your sheet, the party and the initiative order. No Fantasy Grounds needed.
Three tables. One game master.
A game night
The GM opens Fantasy Grounds; FGU Link connects to Cory. Players join Fantasy Grounds and Discord; Dee Emma says hello once.
The GM picks a mode: Passive, Assistant or Autonomous.
Players talk. Cory decides whether a line is meant for the GM, checks whose turn it is, and answers, aloud in Discord and in Fantasy Grounds.
A fight starts. Monsters go on the combat tracker, players roll their own initiative, and Cory follows the tracker turn by turn, asking each player to roll and suggesting each monster's move for the GM to confirm.
The last foe falls. Experience is paid once. The GM offers loot; loot a player simply claims is refused.
A quiet table gets one gentle prompt. A long silence is treated as a break.
What the game master controls
- Four modes: Disabled, Passive, Assistant, Autonomous.
- Approval cards for consequential steps.
- Monster actions are suggestions until confirmed.
- Narration is held for release in Assistant mode.
- An emergency stop clears everything.
